Yesterday we convened the inaugural meeting of the Swinburne advertising major Industry Advisory Committee, or IAC for short! Building on the foundation developed through the 2016 benchmarking process and subsequent report drafted, (in association with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,) the IAC will advise and guide the discipline forward as it addresses the fast changing industry landscape. A huge 'thank you' to the executives for contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the Swinburne advertising major.

Great to catch up at Dukes Coffee Roasters with Clare Worboys - having just completed her University studies at Swinburne. A good opportunity to discuss career direction and opportunities across the Melbourne market. The right time to reflect on your outstanding contribution to your teams advertising capstone campaign solution for the M&C Saatchi/Cricket Australia brief in Semester Two '16. Top of class! So much talent - lets see where you land.
Around 200 Industry Executives turned up yesterday and today at Swinburne University for the MFA 'Digital Foundations' certificate exam. Great to see so many Swinburne University graduates now settled in great Media Agencies continuing their learning. Good luck with your results everyone.
A great Agency, some great clients and some great work. Thanks Leah Champion for your time today. Looking forward to getting our promising Advertising students some work experience at Cummins&Partners later this year.
Great to catch up with rising AdTech/Agency star, and fellow Charles Sturt University Alumni Keaton Hulme-Jones. From internships at Accuen and McCann in Sydney to positions at PHD Media, Sizmek, and Eyeota in Melbourne. Looking forward to getting you in as a Visiting Speaker.
The Swinburne Advertising Major core academic team (Anne Morton and David Reid) were honoured to meet with the CEO of the Australian Marketing Institute, Lee Tonitto, to discuss the benefits of a closer association with the AMI. A fantastic organisation facilitating deeper Industry engagement with a clear appreciation of the value of Advertising.
My name is David Reid.
