Great to have the wonderful Kevin Choo, Group Account Director Agencies, at Roy Morgan Research back on campus to speak to our advertising capstone students. A fantastic range of research products now available allowing even greater understanding of consumer behaviour.
Many thanks Brian Gordon for coming from Canberra to speak to Swinburne Advertising students on advertising self regulation in Australia. Another excellent presentation which sparked great debate.
Yesterday we convened the inaugural meeting of the Swinburne advertising major Industry Advisory Committee, or IAC for short! Building on the foundation developed through the 2016 benchmarking process and subsequent report drafted, (in association with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,) the IAC will advise and guide the discipline forward as it addresses the fast changing industry landscape. A huge 'thank you' to the executives for contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the Swinburne advertising major.

The Australian arm of one of the worlds leading advertising agency groups Omnicom, with annual turnover in excess of $15 billion (US), has taken a sector leading approach here in Australia to the issue of reconciliation.
Having drafted a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for all Omnicom agencies in Australia they are moving forward with educational initiatives, working in New South Wales with the University of Wollongong and today have progressed discussions with Swinburne University to draft an approach for Victoria.

Great to catch up at Dukes Coffee Roasters with Clare Worboys - having just completed her University studies at Swinburne. A good opportunity to discuss career direction and opportunities across the Melbourne market. The right time to reflect on your outstanding contribution to your teams advertising capstone campaign solution for the M&C Saatchi/Cricket Australia brief in Semester Two '16. Top of class! So much talent - lets see where you land.
Around 200 Industry Executives turned up yesterday and today at Swinburne University for the MFA 'Digital Foundations' certificate exam. Great to see so many Swinburne University graduates now settled in great Media Agencies continuing their learning. Good luck with your results everyone.
A great Agency, some great clients and some great work. Thanks Leah Champion for your time today. Looking forward to getting our promising Advertising students some work experience at Cummins&Partners later this year.
My name is David Reid.
